Dr. Franklin Dexter, MD, PhD, FASA
During the past 28 years, Franklin Dexter, MD, PhD FASA, and his colleagues have developed and improved upon the science of anesthesia group and operating room management. Dr. Dexter completed a Sc.B. in Applied Mathematics and Biology with Honors from Brown University; Master’s Degree and Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, with specialization in biomathematics, from Case Western Reserve University; M.D. degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine; and Anesthesiology residency at the University of Iowa. He is Professor in the Department of Anesthesia at the University of Iowa. He has given more than 185 invited presentations in the United States and abroad and has published more than 625 papers in the fields of operating room management and anesthesia.
