This engaging webinar, will be presented by globally sought-after speakers, and will explore the multidisciplinary collaboration behind Inadvertent perioperative hypothermia (defined as core temperature <36°C). During live webinar, speaker will provide a real-world example of how a facility implemented an ERAS compliant perioperative patient normothermia protocol and achieved an effective normothermia outcome.
Michael Rempel, DNP, RN, CNOR, earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2006 and then a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2009. In 2013 he completed a master's degree in Nursing Education followed by doctoral work to earn the degree of Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2020.
He is currently the Educational Specialist with University Hospital in Newark, NJ and is a Visiting Professor with Chamberlain University in North Brunswick, NJ and NYU Rory Myers School of Nursing in New York, NY. His work has helped establish university wide standards of patient care including effectively implementing an ERAS® pathway. He was also recently recognized by NORAD and the Department of Defense for his support, education, implementation and service during the height of the pandemic.
