Webinar Synopsis

Incontinence-Associated Dermatitis (IAD) presents a significant challenge to healthcare professionals and patients. Join our educational webinar to gain insights in to best practices for the prevention and management of IAD. An internationally adopted categorisation tool (GLOBIAD) will be presented. Our speakers will discuss challenges associated with IAD that they have been able to overcome. Included will be details of a recent IAD Quality Improvement Program in an Australian ICU. The presentations will be followed by a Q&A session. You are invited to submit questions before or during the webinar.

Speaker Biography:


  • Professor Dimitri Beeckman

    Dimitri Beeckman is a Professor of Skin Integrity and Clinical Nursing at Ghent University and holds visiting professorships at the University of Surrey (UK), the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (Ireland), the University of Southern Denmark (Denmark), and Örebro University (Sweden). In 2012 and 2013, he was project leader of the development of the Belgian National Pressure Ulcer Prevention and Treatment Guidelines. This government project was funded by the Belgian Healthcare Knowledge Centre (KCE) in close collaboration with the UK National Clinical Guideline Centre (the developers of the NICE guidelines).



  • Ann Marie Dunk

    Ann Marie Dunk is a Clinical Nurse Consultant Tissue Viability at Canberra Hospital, Australia. Ann Marie has an extensive wound management background and is a PhD candidate with Ghent University, Belgium within the SKINT (Skin Integrity Research Group). In 2011 she was awarded ACT Nursing and Midwifery Research Excellence and in 2015 she was awarded Australian Capital Territory Nurse of the Year. Ann Marie is a former International Skin Tear Advisory Panel board member.
