Gain expert insights into the Thailand Road Assessment Programme’s (ThaiRAP) activities from both national-level and city-level perspectives. Our guest speaker, Prof. Dr Kasem Choocharukul, the Associate Dean of Chula Engineering and Manager of ThaiRAP CoE, will be discussing the roles and responsibilities of key highway agencies in Thailand. He will explore these agencies’ impacts on road safety and its current indices, assessment processes, and management systems. He will also explore challenges and key areas of road safety initiatives.
This webinar will delve into recent research about how newer low-beam headlights have evolved to be less glaring and deliver more light onto the roadway. Did you know that on average, road signs are receiving less light from 2019-model low-beam headlights than they did from 2011 models? Learn how upgrading traffic sign sheeting specifications to Type XI reflective sheeting can compensate for the evolution of low-beam headlights. The use of Type XI sheeting is an excellent way to keep signs reflecting brightly in the age of less-glaring headlights.
