3M™ Veraflo™ Therapy

Start smart with Veraflo Therapy, Negative Pressure Wound Therapy with Instillation

Whether you are cleansing a wound in preparation for surgery or would like to promote wound healing in preparation for closure, Veraflo Therapy’s automated cycles of instillation of topical wound solutions and Negative Pressure Wound Therapy can help keep a wound clean while also promoting granulation tissue.

Are you managing soft tissue wounds the same old way?

As operating room teams continue to strive to perform surgery during this exceptional time, you want to provide the best care to every patient, every time, whilst maintaining maximum efficiency.
Veraflo Therapy is the evolution of 3M™ V.A.C.® Therapy and a recent meta-analysis of clinical data showed that Veraflo Therapy can provide better clinical outcomes compared to other wound therapies, including V.A.C.® Therapy.1

  • A smart start to help manage bioburden

Veraflo Therapy allows the instillation of topical wound solutions to dwell in the wound bed for a period of time. This helps to dilute and solubilize infectious material and wound debris.

The automated removal of the wound debris along with the repeated cleansing of the wound helps to interrupt the bioburden lifecycle and reduce the bacterial population.2

  • Veraflo Therapy proven superior to standard of care in various wound types

A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of 13 Veraflo Therapy studies comprising of 720 patients concluded1 when used in conjunction with good clinical practice (e.g., debridement, appropriate antibiotics), Veraflo Therapy was more beneficial than a control therapy in the adjunctive management of complex wounds with respect to:

    • Number of surgical debridements
    • Time to final surgical procedure (days)
    • Length of therapy (days)
    • Number of wounds closed
    • Subjects with bacterial count reduction
    • Length of hospital stay (days)

  • When surgical debridement must be delayed, now you have another choice!

Veraflo Therapy, using 3M™ V.A.C. Veraflo Cleanse Choice™ Dressing provides an option to help cleanse the wound, facilitating the removal of infectious material, thick fibrinous exudate and slough.

This novel way of treating wounds may take the pressure off a busy surgery as the treatment is delivered in automated cycles allowing wounds to be repetitively cleansed and wound debris to be removed without the need for dressing removal.
