Advanced material-based technologies offer the ability to intensify processes by enabling faster mass transfer, being able to operate in a broader range of conditions and deal with a diverse range of particle sizes. In this webinar we will examine the impact of process intensification on sustainability through advanced material solutions.
We are delighted to have a guest speaker, Andrew Sinclair from Biopharm Services, a leading provider of bioprocess modelling and knowledge management tools that support bioprocess innovation. His work aims to understand the impact of innovative technologies on biomanufacturing with a focus on single-use systems and continuous processing.
Specifically we will cover below:
Andew Sinclair has over 30 years of design and operational experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, with direct responsibility for manufacturing, logistics, maintenance, and capital programme management. He has developed Biopharm Services into a leading provider of bioprocess modelling and knowledge management tools that support bioprocess innovation.
Before Biopharm Services, Andrew was Director of Engineering and Logistics at Lonza Biologics and holds an MSc in Biochemical Engineering from University College London (UCL). He was a finalist in “The Manufacturing Processing Thought Leader of the Decade” category at the 2012 BioProcess International Awards. In 2014, he was appointed a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering in the UK.
Hani El-Sabbahy is based in the UK, focusing on biopharmaceutical purification. Using 3M purification technogies, he is responsible for replicating exisiting applications, developing new applications, and deploying new technologies at global biopharmaceutical manufacturers. He has also established and led a number of research collaborations. Hani is the EMEA lead for key new products within 3M biopharmaceutical purification portfolio including 3M™ Harvest RC Chromatographic Clarifier. Prior to joining 3M, he worked as a Senior Downstream Process Development Scientist at Actavis Biologics where he developed expertise in continuous downstream processing. He has 15 years of experience in downstream process development for biopharmaceuticals and obtained his PhD in Biochemical Engineering from University College London (UCL).
