USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service Chooses 3M for Campylobacter testing in Poultry
3M Food Safety has been awarded a contract from the U.S. Department of Agriculture Food Safety and Inspection Service (USDA FSIS) for Campylobacter detection with the 3M™ Molecular Detection System.1
USDA FSIS previously named the 3M™ Molecular Detection System as the primary method for Salmonella2 and Listeria monocytogenes3 testing for meat, poultry and egg products. This most recent designation for Campylobacter detection in poultry products further validates 3M’s technology as the preferred choice of the USDA FSIS for these three foodborne pathogens.
Health Canada also approves Detection of Salmonella, Listeria monocytogenes and Listeria spp. using the 3M™ Molecular Detection System Test Kit Version 2. Click HERE to reference to the MFLP method numbers.
