Immediate Action Required

During a recent internal review, 3M discovered a potential issue involving certain versions and lots of the size-medium 3M™ Half Facepiece Disposable Respirators 5000 Series. In a limited number of instances, we have observed a pinhole in the chin area of the faceseal. This affects only certain 5200 (Medium) respirators that were manufactured in July 2019, with Lot Numbers 9184 through 9204. No other 3M half facepiece respirators are affected by this issue. 3M has received no customer complaints related to this issue.

Follow-Up Action

For respirators identified to be impacted by this issue, and follow-up action is required; please complete the accompanying form and a replacement respirator will be sent to you. Disposal or Return

If you have an impacted respirator that has already been opened, do not use the respirator and instead dispose of it appropriately. Unopened impacted respirators still in the original, unopened packaging should be returned to 3M as soon as possible. A prepaid return label and address will be sent in a follow-up email. 3M strives to provide the highest quality of respiratory protection products in the marketplace, and we regret any inconvenience this may have caused.
